As part of our commitment to creating the best tools for the WordPress community, Blockera offers users the option to share usage information when using our products. WordPress provides a Site Health Dashboard that includes key details about your site, designed to aid in troubleshooting and support. Blockera products enhance this dashboard with additional information. If you opt in, Blockera securely syncs this information once a week. For more details, please review our privacy policy and terms of service.
By opting in, you also agree to receive email updates, including security alerts, product updates, helpful articles and guides, special offers, invitations to webinars, and other relevant communications. We use the name and email address of the WordPress user who opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time through the link in the email. Opting out of email communication does not affect usage sharing.
Site Overview / Site Health
Site health information is generated by WordPress core and is the official method for collecting site details to assist support teams and streamline troubleshooting.
Blockera uses this data to better understand the ecosystem of our users, such as the WordPress version, PHP version, installed plugins, and active themes. This insight helps us prioritize updates, improve compatibility, and make decisions about phasing out outdated technology.
Product Usage Overview
Product usage data is defined and collected by Blockera and displayed in a dedicated tab within the Site Health Dashboard. This includes details like the current version of Blockera, recent updates, settings configuration, and active features. Our goal is to identify which features are most popular and where improvements are needed. Over time, as our products evolve, the types of data collected will also adapt, and we will document those changes here.
Note: While the types of data collected are detailed below, additional data collection may be implemented in future updates.
Planned Data Collection
The types of data Blockera aims to collect in future versions include:
- The state of selected settings and configurations
- Events, such as enabling/disabling features or updating configurations
- Signals that help us understand product usage patterns and feature adoption
- The errors that happened in Blockera product codes without sensitive data to help debugging and finding bugs to improve products
Excluded Data
Blockera does not, and will not, collect:
- Personal or personally identifiable information (aside from the name and email address required for email communications)
- Sensitive data, such as API keys or credentials stored in the plugin configuration
